Robert M Gentles

Robert M. Gentles, 76 passed away November 22, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, May 12, 1947, he was the son of Theodore Langlois and Barbara (Amsden) Gentles. Bob graduated from the Baystate Medical Center LPN program and worked at Baystate for over 41 years. He leaves his uncle, Bob “Chick” Amsden, many cousins and his special friends, Rick Dietrich and Roger Trombly whom he loved to travel to Florida with. His brother Joseph Gentles of New York and he was predeceased by his brother Russell Gentles and his aunt Barbara Amsden. A Funeral Home Service will be held Friday December 1, 2023, at 11AM from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield with burial to follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. A calling hour will be Friday from 10-11AM. Donations may be made to the Dakin Animal Shelter 171 Union St Springfield, MA 01105.
