Obituary
Robert J. “Bama” Pashko, 57, passed away peacefully Friday, May 18th surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, March 15, 1961, he was the son of Peter J. Pashko of West Springfield and the late Grace L. (McCarthy) Pashko who died in 2011. Bob was a graduate of West Springfield High School where he excelled in hockey and football and was awarded All-Western Mass. He owned and operated his painting business for many years and was an avid softball and hockey player. Bob helped coach the West Springfield High School Hockey Team, was an avid Bruins fan and had a wonderful sense of humor. Besides his father, he leaves his best friend and soulmate, Nancy Kingsbury and her son Chris, his siblings, Peter J Jr. (Anne), Linda Normand (Mark), Francis (MaryAnn), Joseph (Linda), and Annmarie Fitzsimmons (Bill) all of West Springfield and his faithful dog, Bella Grace along with several nieces and nephews. A funeral home service will be held Monday at 11am at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St West Springfield with burial to follow in St Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 2pm-5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dakin Animal Shelter, 171 Union St., Springfield, MA 01105.
