Robert L. Stevenson

West Springfield, Robert L. Stevenson, 89, passed away Friday December 26, 2014 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. Born in West Springfield, February 7, 1925, he was the son of the late Harold and Ethel (Cornine) Stevenson. A lifelong resident of West Springfield, he worked for Package Machinery Company for over 40 years retiring in 1987. Robert was a US Army veteran during WWII. He was a communicant of St Thomas Church and a former member of the Agawam/West Springfield Elks Club. His beloved wife Catherine (Driscoll) Stevenson passed away in May of 2013. He leaves his loving son, Michael R. and his wife Nancy of Westfield, his loving daughters, Theresa Mann of Agawam and Katherine M. Abbe and her husband John of West Springfield, his brothers, Richard and Ronald and his sister, Eileen Crosby, his beloved grandchildren, Brian and Jason Mann, Sarah and Marc Abbe, and Sean Stevenson and Ian Mulanouskus and his loving great grandchildren, Madelyn, Maegan and Caden Mann. He was predeceased by 3 sisters, Margaret, Shirley and Phyllis. Robert loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. A Funeral Home Service will be held Monday January 5, 2015 at 11am at the Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield with burial to follow in St Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4PM. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Thomas School Development Fund, 75 Pine St., West Springfield, MA.
