Obituary
Robert “Bob” Vincent, 90, died at home in W. Springfield on August 15, 2022, in the arms of his loving family. Born in Pawtucket, RI, January 10, 1932, to the late Edward and Jeannette (Brindamour) Vincent, he was raised in Springfield, MA and graduated from Springfield Trade HS.  He was a lifelong printer in the Springfield area.  Bob was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Geri (Volkmer) Vincent and his second wife Alma (Allen) Vincent, and sisters Pauline Rioux and Madeline DeMontigny. Bob moved to W. Springfield in 1963 where he raised his family and where he was happiest.  His great pleasures in life were his children and grandchildren, taking care of his home, trips to Misquamicut and Cape Cod and simple things like watching his birds, beautiful sunsets and moon rises, and walking Ashley Reservoir and Skinner Mtn. He also loved riding the local bike trails and was a big fan of the Mass sports teams and enjoyed sharing a beer and watching games with family. Bob was a gentle soul whose finest qualities were that of kindness and generosity to everyone he met.  He will be deeply missed by his children Michael Vincent and wife Debbie of Feeding Hills, Mark Vincent and wife Kelley McCormick of SF, CA, Tricia Bergland and husband Kim of Blandford and Danielle Borsari and husband Mark of Wilbraham.  He also leaves to cherish his memory his grandchildren, Christian Bergland of NYC, Matthew and Samantha Borsari of Wilbraham and Nathaniel and Charlotte Vincent of SF, CA.  He leaves his sister Lucille Kean of W. Hartford, CT and many nieces and nephews who will miss him.  Bob also leaves behind his late in life love and best friend and companion, Maureen Murphy of Westfield.  They spent 14 years enjoying each other’s company while navigating the steps of aging with grace and laughter.  The family is forever grateful to Maureen for her care, love, and loyalty these last years.  A special thanks also to Jill Hegeman and Andrea Casali for their love, care, and friendship to Bob through the years. All Services are private and the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is handling services.
