Robert Wooddell

Feeding Hills � Robert H. �Bubba� Wooddell, 94, died at home on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. He was with his family, including his great grand-dog, Molly. Born in Ohio, he was the son of the late Guy and Faye Cooper, but adopted by his uncle, Joe Wooddell (he was then raised in West Virginia). Robert is survived by his three sisters, Nancy Mullan, Betty Ralston and Dorothy Bruss. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Michele Urbinati of Feeding Hills, Jennifer Correira and husband Robert of Dartmouth, great-grandchildren, James and Nicole Correira of Dartmouth and many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Monica (King) Wooddell. He was the father of the late Michael Wooddell and brother of the late Mary Frances O�Brien. Robert enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 18 and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1961. During that time he traveled to places like Germany, Japan and England, before settling down in Chicopee at Westover Air Force Base. Robert was a member of St. Christopher�s Episcopal Church in Chicopee. He enjoyed playing his lottery, telling jokes, bowling and gardening. He also greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. A Committal Service will be held Wednesday, 1:00pm at the MA Veterans�s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. The family would like to acknowledge and thank everyone from Hospice of Western and Central MA that helped them take care of their much loved family member. They would also like to thank Kathy Ramsdell and her family and Brenda Mendez for all the love and support they gave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Services of Western Mass, 1325 Springfield St., #12, Feeding Hills, MA 01030. Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
