Rodney Henry Payette, 77, passed away on January 10, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. Rodney was born on October 12, 1942 in West Warwick, RI, son to the late Henry and Idola "Annette" (Doucette) Payette. Rodney attended University of Rhode Island and later received his Master’s Degree in Business from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute He worked as a plant manager for GRETAG IMAGING for over 20 years before his retirement. Rodney was a fun- loving, adventurous man, who enjoyed many trips on his motorcycles, restoring cars, and guns. Rodney belonged to the Westfield Sportsman Club and also the Agawam Revolver Club. Rodney is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Jane K. Payette, his sons; Randy R. Payette and his wife Jennifer of Southwick, and Eric W. Payette and his wife Sara of E. Granby, CT, and he was the cherished Papa to Kaleigh, Kaitlyn, Lacey, Jack and great Papa to Johnathan, Devon, and Mason. Rodney was predeceased by his sister Jacqueline Forest. Calling hours for Rodney will be Tuesday, January 14th from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street in West Springfield. On Thursday, January 16th, calling hours will take place from 10:00AM-12:00PM at CARPENTER-JENKS FUNERAL HOME, 659 E. GREENWICK AVE. West Warwick, RI, 02893. A burial will follow the service to Green Wood Cemetery in Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation's may be made in Rodney's name to First Baptist Church, 1613 Main Street, West Warwick, RI, 02893.
