IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roger H
Bilodeau
March 28, 1951 – March 12, 2026
Roger Henry Bilodeau, 74, passed away March 12, 2026, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield on March 28, 1951, he was the son of the late Henry and Dolores (Beaulieu) Bilodeau.
Roger was a machinist by trade, and retired from Control Module Inc. of Enfield in 2017, after 32 years of service. Roger thrived in retirement, and filled his days reading, watching Boston sports, cooking, creating themed Rice Krispie Treats, gardening (garlic and sunflowers were his specialty), and traveling (a new adventure was always on the calendar). His greatest joy was his grandchildren. He was an attentive grandfather who loved building Legos, swimming in the pool, crab hunting at the Cape, carving pumpkins and helping to construct Cindi’s famous gingerbread houses.
Roger leaves his beloved wife of 52 years, Cynthia (Bertocchi) Bilodeau, whom he met at Cathedral High School; his loving children, Bridgette (Andrew) Hanna of Pembroke, Benjamin (Mary Ann) Bilodeau of West Springfield, and Brian (Alyse) Bilodeau of Wethersfield, CT; his adored grandchildren, Ella, Max, Ethan, Parker, Emma and Lucas. His dear siblings, Andre Bilodeau, Jeanne (Bob) Sarnacki, Linda Hershberger, Paul Bilodeau, Albert (Pat) Bilodeau, Diane (Joe) Collura, Jim (Michelle) Bilodeau, and John (Mary) Bilodeau, as well as his siblings by marriage, Randy (Lola) Bertocchi, Christina Richard, Richard Bertocchi, Catherine (Tony) Furlani, and Donna (John) Klisiewicz, and many nieces and nephews.
Roger leaves behind a lifetime of love, and a family forever grateful for the time they shared. Roger’s funeral mass will be Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 10am at St. Thomas Church (47 Pine Street, West Springfield), with burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Springfield Open Pantry (2460 Main St, West Springfield) or the Tom Savage Quarter Note Foundation (459 Woodland St, Windsor Locks, CT, tomsavagefoundation.org).
