Obituary
Ronald S. Drewiany, 63, passed away suddenly July 6, 2021. Born in Springfield, he was the son of Dorothy (Bolduc) Drewiany of Agawam and the late Steven Drewiany (2010). He spent his early years in West Springfield where he attended St. Thomas church. He received a Batchelor's of Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Master's in Environmental Engineering from the University of New Haven, and another Masters in Operations Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Ron worked at Pratt and Whitney for 30 years as an Engineer. He was a loyal fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Ron was also an avid birdwatcher, hiker and astronomer. He travelled extensively around the country visiting historical sites. Besides his mother he leaves his beloved sisters, Carol A. Johnson and her husband Ronald and Janet M. Taylor and her husband Scott, both of Fairbanks, Alaska. He was the loving uncle of Laura Johnson and her husband Daniel Hickstein, Kathryn Johnson and her husband Curtis Stevens, Christopher Taylor and Bryan Taylor, all of Alaska, and Jessie Taylor of NJ. There will be a calling hour Wednesday (7/14) from 1-2 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. There will be a Funeral Home Service to follow at 2 PM.
