Obituary
Ronald S Radcliffe, 68, passed away suddenly Monday, November 19, 2018. Born in Tulsa, OK, April 20, 1950, he was the son of the late George and Mary Giovenco (Martin) Radcliffe. Ron worked in corporate management in the retail industry for many years. He was a US Army veteran during the Vietnam War and was a member of the VFW and Legion both in W. Springfield, the Tatham Social Club, Elks Club, W. Springfield Fish and Game and a lifetime member of the NRA. Ron was an avid and successful handicapper of horse racing often attending the Saratoga meet. He was a devout follower of Pastor Chuck from the Church of the Distant Star. His beloved wife, Susan (Smith) Radcliffe passed away in 2017. He leaves his beloved sons, Russell and his wife Zulfiya of Westfield and Nicholas and his wife Christina of Holyoke, his brother George of Springfield and his loving grandchildren, Miriam, Emily and Lauren. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7pm at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., W. Springfield. Burial with Military Honors will be Friday at 11am at the Mass Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers’ Association of Mass, 264 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104-3274.
