Rudolph S. Lachut

Rudolph Stanley Lachut, 88, passed away Monday at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in West Warren to the late Stella (Postula) and Henry Lachut. Rudolph grew up in Springfield and has lived most of his life in Longmeadow. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Rudolph was a Manager at the Friendly's Ice Cream Plant for years. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church of Longmeadow. Rudolph leaves his beloved wife of 66 years, Marion P. (Kiluk), his caring brother, Henry Lachut and his wife Nancy as well as many beloved godchildren, nieces and nephews. The Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday at 10:00AM at St. Mary's Church; 519 Longmeadow Street, Longmeadow the burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday from 8:15-9:30AM at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chalice of Salvation, PO Box 1730, Springfield, MA 01102 or to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy, 2 Prospect Hill Rd, Stockbridge, MA 01262.
