Obituary
Salvador J. “Sal” Villar, 84, passed away Sunday September 15, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Porrua, Spain, August 18, 1935, he was the son of the late Joaquin and Eloisa (Tames) Villar. Sal lived in Cuba before moving here in 1961. He owned and operated Villar Real Estate Company with his brother Joaquin for over 40 years and was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. He leaves his beloved wife of 44 years, Maria (Noval) Villar, his loving children, Patricia Villar-Lucia and her husband David, Alex Villar and his wife Danielle and Daniel Villar all of West Springfield, his beloved siblings, Joaquin Villar of West Springfield, Rosa Villar Aracil and Paz Villar Iglesias both of Spain, his loving grandchildren, Nico, Emily, Ethan and Victoria. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, at 11 AM from St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., West Springfield. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Assn. Mass. Chapter, 720 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02134.
