Obituary
Scott Michael Cummings Sr., 57, of Hillcrest Avenue passed away Wednesday at home. He was born in Springfield on Oct. 14th, 1961 to the late Norman and Lottie (Percoski) Cummings, then predeceased by his adoptive parents Albert and Rachel Proper. He attended local schools and lived in West Springfield his entire life. Scott was the Service Manager at Goodyear Holyoke Tire and worked there for over 20 yrs. Scott was a connoisseur of classic collector cars. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. He was a devoted father to both Victoria Laramee and Scott Cummings Jr., both of West Springfield. His true love was his children, and his grandchildren . Scott’s zest for life, charisma, and compassion made him a wonderful grandfather, father, and a once in a lifetime friend. Predeceased by his brother Brian Cummings of Agawam, he leaves his siblings, Bettie Vieu of Springfield, Norman Cummings of Southwick, and Beverly Fitchet of Indiana. The calling hours will be Tuesday from 5:00-6:30 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. Following the wake there will be a Funeral Home Service at 6:30 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
