Shirley T Henault

July 26, 1927 — February 1, 2023

Shirley T. (LaPlante) Henault, 95, passed away February 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Holyoke, July 26, 1927, the daughter of the late Lucien and Lillian (Gelinas) LaPlante. Shirley was a resident of Chicopee for over 50 years before moving to Springfield five years ago. She was a member of the Pioneer Valley Baptist Chapel in Chicopee where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Her beloved husband, Raymond Roger Henault died in 2005. She leaves her loving children, Raymond and Paul both of Springfield and Anne M. Steben and her husband Mark of West Springfield, her loving grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob and Jason, her loving great grandchildren, JJ, Savannah, Ezra and Emery. Several nieces and nephews. Burial will be private at the Mass Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11th at 11:00 am at the Pioneer Valley Baptist Chapel, 56 Perkins Street in Chicopee.
Shirley loved being a homemaker and a mom, and especially a grandmother, or "Memere" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a sweet woman, with unshakeable faith in her Lord Jesus. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
