Obituary
Shirley A. (Fett) LaMountain, 83, passed away peacefully at her home on April 18th. She was born in Springfield to the late Frederick O. and Elizabeth (Bailey) Fett. Shirley graduated from Commerce High School in 1955 and attended Holyoke Community College. She retired from Heritage Hall Nursing in Agawam after 26 years of loyal service. She loved working with the elderly. Shirley belonged to the Agawam Memory Lanes Chorus. She loved doing many counted cross-stitched pictures and was an avid reader. Her greatest joy was her family. Shirley leaves her children; Steven and his wife Kathy LaMountain of Agawam, Susan Weston of Monson, Jon LaMountain of Feeding Hills and Thomas LaMountain of Monson. She also leaves her former husband Albert LaMountain of Chicopee. Shirley was a loving grandmother to Zachary, Kelsey and Kyle LaMountain, Shannon Miller, Keylee Weston, Morgan, Ryan and Tiana LaMountain and four great grandchildren. She also leaves her close friend Rose Caney and her sister Sandra Wise of Agawam as well as many nephews and nieces. Shirley was also predeceased by her sister Betty Jane Owen of Rhode Island. Services will be private and Burial will take place in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
