Obituary
Shirley Ann Aubrey, age 84. She was born at Holyoke Hospital and grew up in Easthampton, MA, the daughter of Joseph and Florence (Barbour) Robinson. She graduated from St. Michael’s High School in Northampton, MA and attended the Burbank School of Nursing in Fitchburg, MA. She was a stay-at-home mother until all five of her children were in school. She then worked as a bookkeeper for various establishments until her retirement. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Sheila Maria Fiala. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Richard Aubrey, her daughters; Catherine Bienia of West Springfield and Maureen Aubrey of Rhode Island, a son Michael and his wife Barbara of West Springfield and son Robert Aubrey Jr., also of West Springfield, her seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, also, a sister Martha and her husband Joseph Cini of Agawam, and an adopted brother David Robinson of Chicopee. Calling Hours will be held THURS, Jan 9 from 4 to 7 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., W. Springfield. All other services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the West Springfield Public Library, 200 Park St., W. Springfield, MA 01089. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
