Stephen Rettie

Stephen Rettie was born on June 10, 1957 and recently passed away of natural causes on August 19, 2024. He grew up in West Springfield, but soon found a home in Russell Mass. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Stanley Rettie and Mary Kearney Rettie. He leaves a sister Kathleen Singer and her husband Brett of Westfield, a nephew, lan Singer of Southwick, and a niece Adrienne Singer of Maine. He lovingly cared for his pets, all now deceased, Jasper, Poco, Isis, and his most recent dog Yaicha. He formed many lasting friendships and had a good sense of humor. His musical knowledge of rock bands and artists was extensive. In his earlier years, he enjoyed ice fishing and riding his motorcycle. He continued to enjoy camping and made several trips to Vermont.
There will be a graveside ceremony at St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield on Thursday,August 29 at 11:30.
