Obituary
Susan Joy (Burbee) Morin, 59, of Peterson Road passed away Sunday at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Westfield on December 31, 1960 to the late Leo and Grace (Beal) Burbee. She grew up in Southwick and graduated from Southwick High School. Susan worked at Specialty Nut and Bolt in Agawam for several years. Susan was very active with the “sober in the sun” for over 20 years, where she was known as the “coffee queen”. She was the beloved widow of Carl A. Morin who passed away in 2011, loving mother of Julie DiFlumera of Palmer and her partner DeShaun Sherman of Springfield, caring sister of Gene Burbee of Palmer, Leo Burbee, Jr. of Westfield, and the late Tina Burbee, devoted grandmother of Corina Marie Wyckoff, Raymond Vila, Jacob Vila, and Cynthia Roch, and cherished aunt of Becca, Amanda, Leo III, Shannon and Kristy. Susan also leaves her good friends Butch Wilke and Donna Renaud. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-6 pm at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street West Springfield. The Committal Service will be Wednesday at 10 am at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1350 Main Street, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
