Susan M. Goodhind

West Springfield- Susan Maureen (Oliynik) Goodhind, 74, of Nelson Street passed away Sunday, April 2nd at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Glen Ridge, NJ on July 8, 1948 to the late Nina (Petrowski) and Milton Oliynik. She grew up there and lived most of her life in West Springfield. She retired in 2017 after working over 30 yrs. as a teacher. She was an elementary school teacher at the Center School in South Hadley and later at the Coburn School in West Springfield teaching E.S.L. Susan received a B.S. in Education from Gordon College and later a Master’s in Education from Elms College. She was the mother of Jonathan Goodhind of West Springfield, former wife of Alan Goodhind of West Springfield, sister of Patricia Duddy and brother in law to Kevin Duddy of Hawley, PA and Deborah Housseas and her husband (Michael) of Seattle, WA and aunt of Ryan Duddy of Montclair, NJ. All funeral services are private and Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements. Susan had a great love of animals and in lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to Luna Foundation Aruba, Inc., Keito 7G, Noord, Aruba.
