West Springfield- Susan E. (O'Connell) Duncan, 70, passed away Tuesday at home. She was born in Holyoke to the late Thomas and Ruth (Carlon) O'Connell. She was a loving mother who leaves behind her children, Scott Duncan and his wife Gina of W. Springfield, and Jennifer Duncan of Ludlow. She lived for her grandchildren, Kelsie and Emily Duncan, Mia Gasperini, Jrake Cullison, Albert and Camden Duncan, and William McCallum. She also leaves behind her husband David Duncan as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Susan was predeceased by her loving son Brian Duncan in 2008 and by her siblings, James O'Connell and Ruth Poulin. Sue loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a caring woman who loved the simple things in life. She gave without question to everyone she came across. She saw the good in everything and enjoyed every moment she had with family and friends.�She worked many years at Stop & Shop and was a lifetime communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Sue was a devoted member of the Ladies' Oriental Shrine of North America (LOSNA). She was an avid New England sports fan and especially loved her Boston Red Sox. The funeral will be held on Friday August 25 at 9 am at Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street. The burial will be private. Calling hours will be Thursday August 24 from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
