Obituary
The world is forever changed as Susan "Susie" Irene (Klassanos) Palmer passed away on a rain-soaked Saturday, October 13, 2018. Born February 25, 1951 to Ted and Lucille Klassanos, she was the second youngest of her siblings Peter, Anne (Brown), Martha (Richard), Karen and Brian. Susie attended St. John the Baptist School and graduated from Cathedral High School. She grew up in Ludlow where in the summer of 1967 she fell in love with her future husband Gary Palmer. Married in 1972, Gary and Susie soon welcomed into their lives their son Benjamin. For forty-six years the two built a world of love and happiness and accepted the challenges of life when in 1992 Susie was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Steadfast and determined, she fought a courageous twenty-six-year battle, never yielding or giving up hope. Her greatest passions in life was being a wife and mother, sister and friend and everyone who's life she touched was all the better for having her in it. Hers was a life well lived, a life well loved. Services and burial will be private at the MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
