Sybil Jean (Webb) Tracy, 85, of Valentine Terrace went home to be with the Lord Tuesday in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chester on April 22nd, 1930 to the late George and Birget (Klementsen) Webb. She grew up in the hill towns settling in Agawam for the past 30 years. She worked for many years at the Digital Corporation in Westfield where she retired from. She was a devoted member of the New Birth Christian Church in Palmer where she taught Sunday school, served as a women�s group leader and organized their many church functions over the years. It was Sybil�s ultimate heart�s desire to see her family & friends serving the Lord and to know Jesus as she did. She also spent many years caring for foster children opening up her home providing another extension of Jesus love to them. Every life that her hand has touched has been for the glory of the Lord. She was the beloved widow of Edward �Skeez� Tracy who passed away in 2008, loving mother of Mary Rooney and her husband Gary of Springfield and Paula Preston and her husband Phil of Agawam, and the late Shirley Desclos who passed away in 2012, caring sister of Dorothy Hamby and her husband Bill of Westfield and Pastor William Webb and his wife Charlotte of Palmer, devoted grandmother of Lori Dickinson, Jason Desclos, Todd Rooney and his wife Jackie, Colleen Rooney, Phillip Preston and Paige Preston, and cherished great grandmother of 12 and great great grandmother of 3. Sybil was predeceased by her husband James C. Murphy and her two grandsons, Richard and Daniel Desclos. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. There will be a Funeral Home Service Saturday at 11 AM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. Burial will follow at the Springfield Street Cemetery in Feeding Hills. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
