Sylvia (Root) Sutherland

West Springfield, Sylvia (Root) Sutherland, 90, passed away Wednesday June 15, 2016 at the Atrium in Agawam surrounded by her loving family. Born in West Springfield, April 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mabel Root. Sylvia was a graduate of West Springfield High School and worked at Security Windows in West Springfield. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Women in Construction. She leaves her beloved husband of 70 years, Alec F. Sutherland and six nieces and nephews. There will be a 1PM Funeral Home Service Monday at the Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield with burial to follow in Paucatuck Cemetery.
