Tara Jean Terenzi, 44, of Herrman Street passed away Monday at home. She was born in Springfield on September 26, 1978 and lived here all of her life. She worked as a Registered Nurse and began her career at the former Parkview Hospital in Springfield. After that she worked as a traveling nurse at various local hospitals and nursing homes. She was a graduate of West Springfield High School where she also was a cheerleader. After that she attended Holyoke C.C., STCC, and graduated with her Nursing Degree from Greenfield C.C. She was formerly a communicant of St. Thomas Church in West Springfield. Tara rescued and fostered animals for years. She was a sports enthusiast, studied karate, and loved working in her garden. She was formerly a member of the Civil Air Patrol. Tara struggled and persevered with medical and learning issues to attain her nursing degree and continuing to work as a nurse. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a giver, person of compassion, and someone with a big heart.
She was the beloved mother of Logan Terenzi, loving daughter of Robert and Viola (Langevin) Terenzi, caring sister of Dawn Terenzi, devoted Godmother of Kiana Stone, and cherished best friend of Chan Leam. She also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins. The calling hours will be Monday 6/5/2023 from 4-6 pm at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. There will be a Funeral Mass Tuesday 6/6/2023 at 10 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made to
