East Longmeadow –Teddy O. Quick passed away on Sunday, February 11th at The East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center. He was 90 years old. He was born in Cullman, Alabama on November 10, 1933 to the late John and Maudie (Wilbanks) Quick where he was raised and educated.
He faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged he settled in Agawam and worked for many years as the Supervisor of Vehicle Operations for the USPS Bulk Mail Center.
Teddy was predeceased by his wife Alice J. (DeForge) Quick; sisters Frances Goodwin, Bernice Nowill, Glennis Gossett, and Marcie Hale. He leaves his beloved children Kevin J. Quick and his wife Mary, and Kathleen A. Kelly and her husband James, all of East Longmeadow; cherished grandchildren Krista Riley and her husband Christopher, Kayla Orszulak and her husband Matthew, and J.T. Kelly and his fiancé Kimberly Rossi; great-grandsons Conor, Griffin and Macsen Riley; his caring sister Janice Griffith of Hartselle, Alabama; along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends can call at Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home, 1403 Westfield St., West Springfield from 9:00 -11:00 am on Friday, February 23rd. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:30 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church; interment will be at 1:00 pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Agawam.
