Theresa R. (Grimaldi) Circosta

West Springfield - Theresa R. Circosta, 93, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain in Georgia. She was born in Westfield, MA to the late Immaculata (Scanelli) and Alfonso Grimaldi and lived most of her life in W. Spfld. Theresa worked as a manager for Zayre�s for years and later in life at a machine shop in W. Spfld. She was a communicant of St. Ann�s Church and St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Theresa was a caring, giving and loving person. She was very religious and prayed for her family members and friends daily, as well as others that were sick that she didn't know well. Theresa was predeceased in 1995 by her beloved husband of 56 years, Silvestro A. Circosta, Sr. She leaves her loving children, George Circosta and his wife Sandie of Kennesaw, GA and Alfonso "Butchie" Circosta and his wife Fran of W. Spfld., her adored grandchildren, Carla and her husband Mark, Patrick and his wife Tracey, Angela, Amy, Scott, Tim, Kelly and her husband Gregg, six great-grandchildren, Kaylah, James, Patrick, Anthony, Kendall and Mathew and her caring sister, Maddy Desautels. She also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her son, Silvestro A. Circosta, Jr. in 2014 and by her two sisters, Rose Grimaldi and Carmela Ligsukis. The funeral will be Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 9:00 AM from the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St. W. Spfld., MA with a 10:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street, W. Spfld. The burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.
