Therese C. Bonacquisti

West Springfield –Therese (Chapdelaine) Bonacquisti passed away on Monday, April 22 in Springfield surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years old. Therese was born in Springfield on June 6, 1939 to Joseph and Florida (Ethier) Chapdelaine and was the youngest of eight children. She grew up in Springfield and with her husband Anthony, settled in West Springfield over 50 years ago. Therese attended high school at Marie Joseph Academy in Biddeford, Maine and earned her BA from the College of Our Lady of the Elms in Chicopee, MA. She was a social worker at Sisters of Providence Home for Children before turning her attention to raising her own family. Therese loved music, and was a talented pianist and vocalist. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Family meant everything to her. She will be sorely missed by her devoted and loving husband of 59 years Anthony Bonacquisti and their children Maria (David) McDermott, of Watertown, Michael (Susan) Bonacquisti of Springfield, Mark Bonacquisti of Springfield, and Michelle (Chris,deceased) Klein of Westboro, grandchildren Christopher, Ryan and Nicolas
McDermott and Lauren and Christopher Klein; brother Roger (Jackie) Chapdelaine and her many beloved nieces and nephews. Therese was predeceased by brothers Roland, Norman, Gerard and Robert Chapdelaine; and sisters Lucille Chapdelaine and Yvette Archambault. Her family is forever grateful for all who cared for her. Especially the compassion and care given to her from Dr. Darren O’Neill, The caregivers at Caring Solutions, and her special caregiver Amber Hoffman. Family and friends may call from 9:30-10:30 am on Tuesday at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
