Thomas W. "Wayne" Murphy

West Springfield – Thomas “Wayne” Murphy passed away on Tuesday, October 1, in Worcester. He was 65 years old. Born in Pittsfield, MA on January 20, 1959. He was the son of John P. Murphy Sr. (deceased) and Bernice (Kordana) Murphy, currently of Pittsfield. Wayne had previously lived in Pittsfield before settling in West Springfield 38 years ago. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Business from Western New England University and cherished his time as the quarterback of the football team Wayne was an athlete who enjoyed golf and spending time with family. He was on the Board of the Fish and Game Club of West Springfield and a former Elks Club member. He was predeceased by his father John P. Murphy, Sr. and his sister Jeanne Murphy. He will be missed by his loving wife Susan; his mother Bernice; sons Brendan and Ryan Murphy; and his brother John “Jack” Murphy. All services will be private and have been entrusted to TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME in West Springfield.
