Vincent L Palange, 88, passed away March 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, January 21, 1937, he was the son of the late Frank and Josephine (Gamelli) Palange. He survived his late wife Anna “Nina” Palange of 41 years and his only sibling Mary Allard. He was a US Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War. He leaves his children, JoAnn Paier, Annette DeMaio and Frank Palange and his wife Sheila all of West Springfield, his grandchildren, Melissa, Nicholas, Andrew, Dante, Nicole, Decia, Stephanie and Vinny, his great grandchildren, Cameron, MaeRose, Audrey, Vivian, Gianni, Lucas, Ava, Owen and Harper, and his longtime companion, Lorraine Woods. He also leaves his brother-in-law and best friend, Bruce Allard. He loved spending time with his family and traveling. He was an avid camper, a member of the Pioneer Valley Chapter 8 and more recently Happy Times Sam’s Camping Club. He loved model trains and in his earlier days enjoyed playing drums with his family. Throughout his career he worked for Springfield Auto Electric, Cookson Graphics in Holyoke, owned a deli and dry Cleaners in Wilbraham. He then fulfilled a dream of opening a business with his son: V&F Auto Inc. in Agawam. His funeral will be Wednesday 9AM from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home with a Mass at 10AM from St Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St Thomas Cemetery.
