Virginia "Ginny" Louise
Joslin
August 6, 1929 – May 25, 2026
Red Oak Church
Starts at 11:00 am (Eastern time)
Virginia “Ginny” Louise Joslin, 96, of West Springfield passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 24, 2026. Ginny lived a full and "wonderful" life with her love of gardening, bird watching, highway flower identifying, bee charming, baking "by cracky bars, smuggling dinner rolls in her purse and snuggling her kitty cat.
Born in Montpelier, VT to Ralph and Elizabeth Joslin, she was very proud of her childhood with her four siblings on their family farm in Waitsfield VT, as well as running the hotel in Orlando, FL. She graduated from Orlando High School where she played trombone in the military band. Ginny earned an associates degree from AlC in Liberal Arts which led to 37 years of accounting for Mass Mutual. She was a devout member of The First Baptist Church in West Springfield for 30 years, where she reverently played organ at Sunday service.
She was an adored wife "Momma" to Charles "Chuck" Beal, a loving mother to Eric, Mark, Ginnie, Harry Jr, Rick, Gail and Judy, a very cherished grandmother to over 14 grandchildren and great grandchildren including many others that called her “Grandma”.
Ginny will always be remembered for her constant smile, infectious laughter, amazing stories, her endless amount of compassion and the way she opened her heart to family and others.
A Church memorial service will be held at Red Oak Church (formerly First Baptist) in West Springfield on 337 Piper Road on Saturday June 27th at 11am
In lieu of flowers we ask for donations made to Baystate Hospice Care (who were absolutely incredible to the family through Ginny's last days.)
