Vivian F. (Marcinek) Kruczek, 90, of West Springfield, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Born December 26, 1935 in Chicopee, she was the daughter of the late John W. Marcinek and Nellie A. (Niemiec) Marcinek. Vivian was a graduate of Chicopee High School and following this worked as a Senior Administrative Assistant at Spaulding in Chicopee. Vivian was notable among those who knew her for her artistic skills in cross-stitch and craft and created many beautiful pieces of art. She was owner of The Needleworker, a cross stitch store on Main Street in West Springfield for many years. An avid traveler, she enjoyed journeying around the world with her husband, creating cherished memories while exploring different countries. She was a talented seamstress, sewing beautiful clothing for herself and her family. Vivian was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Walter Kruczek, on March 20, 2026, less than 90 days before her passing. In 70 years of dedicated marriage, they never spent more than a few days apart. Their loved ones are at peace knowing they are reunited. Vivian was additionally preceded in death by her son-in-law, Joseph Vignaly Jr.. She is survived by her beloved children, Dr. Michael (Allison) Kruczek of Beaver, PA, and Katherine Vignaly of Stratham, NH. She is additionally survived by her grandchildren, Jonathan (Tracey), Lauren, Christopher (Aimee), Nicholas, Katherine (Diego), Ellen (Lane), Benjamin (Jennifer), and Joshua (Sidney), and her great-grandchildren, Jay, Isaac, Simon, Leo, and Gabriel. In her life as both mother and grandmother, her loved ones have many cherished memories of Vivian’s good company, sweet disposition, and many, many puzzles. Vivian’s funeral mass will be Friday June 19 at 1:30pm at St Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine St West Springfield. A calling hour will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Toomey-O'Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St West Springfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Thomas Church, 47 Pine St West Springfield.
