Walter Packevich

West Springfield- Walter Packevich, 89, passed away Tuesday at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Narejki, Poland to the late Joseph and Andrea Packiewicz . Walter served in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded 6 Bronze Stars. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, J. Rosemary (Greco) Packevich in 2007. He leaves his loving daughters, Pamela Hart of West Springfield and Elizabeth Fenna of Shrewsbury, his grandchildren, Jackie, Jon and Lizz and great grandson Vincent. The Liturgy of Christian Burial is Thursday, October 2nd at 10 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street. The burial will follow at 11 AM at MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery.
