William P. Clark, 86, passed away Monday June 7, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, October 14, 1934, the son of the late William E. and Joan V. (Miarecki) Clark. He worked as a Metro Police Officer in Washington DC for many years and later for the US Postal Service in Springfield. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and a US Army veteran. He leaves his beloved wife of 56 years, Rita A. (Vanotti) Clark, his loving children, William J. of F. Hills, Paula Becker and her husband Greg of Westfield, Elizabeth Latham of Vernon, CT., Jennifer Smith and her husband Mark of West Springfield and Lynn Clark of F. Hills, his siblings, Ruth Tinker of Westfield, Robert of F. Hills, Joan Fydenkevez of West Springfield, and Chester of Agawam, his beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Marissa, Caitlin, Collin, Casey, Luke and Aaron. A funeral home service will be held Thursday 11:30 AM at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield followed by committal with military honors at the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. A calling hour will be from 10:30-11:30AM. The family would like to thank the staff at Baystate Hospice for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army 170 Pearl St. Springfield, MA. 01101.
