William �Bill� Velozo, Jr., 67, passed away Monday February 20, 2017, at Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Framingham, September 11, 1949, He was the son of the late William and Dona (Martin) Velozo. Bill worked for the Department of Public Works in Springfield retiring as a garage foreman in 2008. He was a Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Agawam Baptist Church where he served on the property committee. He was a member of the Ludlow Elks and was chairman of the water stops for the Rays of Hope Walks. He leaves his loving wife of 38 years, Nancy Booska Velozo, his beloved children, Holly M. Velozo-Cote (Chris) of West Springfield and William J. Velozo of Agawam, his adoring grandchildren, Briana, Bryce and Kelcie with whom he lived. His siblings, Gary (Laurie) Velozo of Belchertown, Sandra Walsh (Mark) of AL and Jeannie Kelvehian (Paul) of FL. A Funeral Home Service will be held Friday 9am from the Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield, followed by burial in the Mass Veterans� Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours are Thursday 4-7pm. Donations may be made to the Rays of Hope, c/o Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut St., Floor 6, Springfield, MA 01199-1000.
