West Springfield -William John Kasip, 81, passed away Monday at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke, to the late Kathryn A. (Reidy) and William J. Kasip. He was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament Elementary School, Sacred Heart High School and the University of Detroit, Michigan. Bill served in the United States Army and went on to a career as a Civil Engineer for the State of Michigan. Upon retirement he resided in Gaylord, Michigan. For the last fifteen years, he has resided in both, West Springfield, MA and Gaylord, MI. He leaves his sister, Kathleen Lyons and her husband James of W. Spfld., his brother, John Kasip of W. Spfld., a nephew, Michael Lyons of Salem, MA and a niece, Melissa Lyons of W. Spfld. Calling hours will be Thursday from 10-11AM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld., followed by an 11:30AM Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Church, 65 Pine St. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
