William L Lashua

William "Bill" Leo Lashua, 82, of West Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away on September 23, 2023, in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Bill, as he was lovingly called, leaves behind two daughters Lisa Santos of Springfield, MA, Corey Conner of Enterprise, AL and a son Edward Lashua of West Springfield, MA, as well as five grandchildren, one great grandchild and a devoted partner, Shelley Armstong of West Springfield. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda Lashua.
Bill served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1965. His military service proved his commitment to protecting our freedoms. Beginning at the age of sixteen, Bill served his country faithfully during the Vietnam War. Upon his discharge from the service, he was employed by Strathmore Paper Company, AgriMark and OmniGlow Corporation.
Military service will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery on October 6, 2023 at 9 o'clock. Bill will be treated with respect for his service to our country.
The compassionate team at Toomey O'Brien Funeral Home in West Springfield, MA, is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a veterans' charity of your choice.
Bill Lashua will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a source of solace and inspiration for us all.
