Agawam - William Clarence Melbourne, 92, passed away Saturday at Baystate Medical Center. William was born June 30, 1924 in Springfield to the late Sidney and Ruth (Tredo) Melbourne. William worked as an oil burner technician for many years before he retired. William was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, bowling, Red Sox and the Patriots. He was a member to the Salvation Army Church and AMVETS. William proudly served in the Air National Guard in Westfield. William was predeceased by his beloved wife Nellie (Whitman) Melbourne in 1990. He is survived by his two sons William �Skip� Melbourne Jr. of Ludlow, Gary A. Melbourne of Greenfield, and his two daughters Janice L. Conlin of Agawam and Lynda Magistri Smith of Feeding Hills. He was the cherished grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was the caring brother to Allen Melbourne of Maine and Ruth Blanche of Feeding Hills. There will be a Memorial Service Wednesday at 11AM, at TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. Calling hours will precede the service from 9-11AM. Burial will be private at Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in William�s memory to the Salvation Army, 285 Liberty Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
