Carol A. Spaeth passed away peacefully May 10, 2020 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Agawam. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Antoinetta (Gagliarducci) Bonavita. Carol was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years Clyde Spaeth, her sister Betty Downey and brother Gary Bonavita. Carol worked at the Springfield Country Club for 18 years before becoming owner and operator of Residential Cleaning Service for over 20 years with her husband Clyde until their retirement. She is survived by her four loving children; Debra Siedel and her husband Fred, Donna Sherbo and her husband James, Holly Chelkonas and Gary Spaeth and his wife Cheryl all of West Springfield, her beloved 7 grandchildren; Leah (Jim) Ramirez, Lauren Siedel, Brooke (Phil) Ramsdell, Brittany Stevens, Bruce-Aaron Chelkonas, Clyde and Natalie Spaeth, her great grandchildren, Avery, Alyvia, Ari, Daniel, Isabella, Sophia and Hope-Marie. Carol is also survived by her brother Victor “Bobby” Bonavita and sister Donna Pratte. She will be remembered as a beautiful and vibrant woman with a soul so full of wisdom, love, mischief and laughter that heaven will need to clean house to make room for all that. Carol loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and time spent at her camp on the Mohawk Trial. She created wonderful memories with her group of girlfriends of many years the “Sesame Seeds”. They were “Friendship Forever” girls. A Private Service will be held and burial will be in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hall for the comfort and care they showed towards Carol. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
