Edwin Glenn Hill, “Ed”, Age 57, beloved husband of Julianna Hill, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully Sunday March 8th, 2020. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, the son of Edwin and Loretta Hill. Ed was a graduate of West Springfield High School, Class of 1981 and was currently employed at Sealed Air in Danbury, CT. Ed married his sweetheart Julianna Hill on April 17th, 2004 and enjoyed life alongside a loving, supportive and dynamic family. Professionally, Ed was a 20 Year Navy Veteran that lived through Desert Storm, The Persian Gulf War and was a first responder during 9/11. Ed was also a life longer learner. He completed 3 Master’s Degrees and The Navy’s rigorous Nuclear Engineering School which titled him as Senior Chief Officer. During his time in the Navy, Ed was in charge of the nuclear reactor’s onboard the aircraft carriers he was on. Outside of his professional carrier, Ed loved to ride his Harley Davidson Road King with his wife and good friends. He frequently took exciting motorcycling adventures with his good friends that spanned across many states and countries. In that respect, it’s no surprise that Ed loved to travel and throughout his life had visited many states and countries across the world. He also enjoyed sailing and adored his oversized Chihuahua named Benny. Ed had a zest for life. He was loving, relaxed yet ambitious, hard-working, generous, selfless, dedicated, supportive, fearless, caring, had a positive attitude towards life and no matter the situation at hand, was as always calm, cool, collected and decisive. Ed lived life to the fullest and got to experience more out of life than most people do in a lifetime. Ed will be tremendously missed by his family and friends who loved and appreciated him dearly. He is survived by his: Wife Julianna, Son George, Mother Loretta, Father Edwin and Brothers Steven and Mark, among many other important family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held SAT 11 AM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W. SPFLD. Burial will be in the springtime. A Calling Hour will be held SAT from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
