Erline E. (LaRoche) Koehler, 91, passed away January 11, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Holyoke, August 8, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Della (Guinard) LaRoche. She was a graduate of South Hadley High School in 1948. She worked in the cafeteria at the Old Tatham School in West Springfield and also worked at the former Zayre’s in Holyoke and Ames in Agawam. She loved babies, dogs, antiques, gardening, parties and especially her grandchildren. She was a formidable force who was strong, brave, charming and very social! She was predeceased by her three husbands, Robert Rouillard in 1971, Ola J. Gallant in 1987 to whom she was married for 27 years and Frank “Ted” Koehler in 2020 to whom she was married for 20 years. She was re-united with Ted at their 50th class reunion from South Hadley High School in 1998 where she was voted “Cutest Girl”. She leaves her loving children, Barbara Rouillard and her husband William Braddon of Springfield, Elizabeth Wisner of Ludlow and David Gallant of Hampden, her loving grandchildren, Rachael Donnelly of York Harbor, ME, Robert Byrne of Monson, Mark Byrne (Collene) of Rocky Hill, CT, Jennifer Wisner of Springfield, Sara Wisner of Ludlow, Madison Gallant of Hampden and Colin Gallant of Hampden, her beloved brother, David LaRoche of South Hadley. She was predeceased by her siblings, Norman “Pete” LaRoche, Dolores Provost and Lucille O’Connell. All services will be held in the spring and the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
