Evelyn “Fay” (Amlaw) Langevin, 94, of Cooper Street passed away Friday at Heritage Hall in Agawam. Fay was born in Dalton, MA on July 30, 1927, to the late Silas and Nellie (Mason) Amlaw. She worked as a prep cook for Heritage Hall in Agawam for years and prior to that she cooked at Tinti’s (formerly of Agawam) as well as an Avon Lady locally for years. Fay was an active and longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Agawam. She cared deeply for her extensive family and friends. It was common to find something delicious percolating on the back stove for all to share even after she had spent a full day preparing nutritious meals for the elderly. And she always ensured that every child who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy, and happy. She was the predeceased by her husband Donald R. Langevin (2002) and her longtime companion Peter J. Milanese (2016). Fay was the loving mother of Linda Langevin and her husband Charles Calisti of Westfield, Mark Langevin and his wife Joan of Westfield, Nancy Schneider and her husband Gary of Agawam, and Jill Pisano and her husband Don of Westfield, beloved grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 15. The calling hours will be Thursday (11/18) from 9:00 – 10:30 am at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills.
