Obituary

Fira Depopolo, 77, a longtime resident of Westfield, passed away May 28, 2022. Born in Westfield, October 19, 1944, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Roach) Depopolo. Fira worked at the Olympic Manufacturing Company in Westfield and was a member of the Springfield Hobby Club. She leaves two good friends, Shirley and Mary, and many cousins including Melissa Latour and her husband Roger of Westfield, Jennifer Scanlon and Jeremy Scanlon both of Westfield, Michael Fee of Westfield and Richard Fee of Woronoco. A funeral home service will be held Thursday June 2, 2022, at 11AM from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield with a calling hour from 10-11AM. Burial will be in Paucatuck Cemetery. The family would like to thank the entire staff at the May Institute for their wonderful care of Fira for many years.  Donations may be made to the May Institute Adult Services,1111 Elm St., Suite 7, West Springfield, MA 01089.
