Howard L. Silvis, 82, passed away May 30, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Kellettville, PA, January 30, 1940, he was the son of the late Archie and Ruth (Nelson) Silvis. Howard worked for various construction firms including Forish Constuction where he retired as a foreman. He was a US Navy veteran during the Vietnam War. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He leaves his beloved wife of 36 years, Selma (Kalkau) Silvis, his loving children, Christopher of Mercer, PA, Sharon Wozny of Enfield and Renate Cavalcanti of Las Vegas, NV, his 5 beloved grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Robert and his sister, lovingly known as Sis. All services are private, and the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
