On the morning of April 15, 2022, Kathleen Elizabeth (LaFleur) Lupien, was ushered into her Lord and Savior’s loving arms by a Heavenly Host of Angels. Kathy was receiving Chemo-therapy for her second diagnosis of cancer (Lymphoma), the first being AML, which she was in remission for nearly 20+ years. Kathy was born and raised in Springfield, MA, and graduated from the High School of Commerce in June of 1971, where she gained an appreciation for finance, clerical skills, record keeping, organization and accounting, which she utilized at Springfield Institution for Savings (SIS), Mass Mutual, and as her Church’s Secretary/Assistant Secretary for over 30 years. Kathy enjoyed trips to Old Orchard Beach, Maine, being a blessing to those in need, attending worship services at her church, spending time with her family, children and “the grands”.
Kathy leaves her husband of 49 years, Joseph Lupien of Springfield, MA. Their son Patrick J. Lupien, his fiance’ Michelle Poudrier, their children Felicia and Joshua Poudrier; daughter Sara (Lupien) LaCasse and son-in-law Patrick LaCasse, their children Dominick Lupien, Hailey and Zachary LaCasse; daughter KimberlyAnn (Lupien) Gonzalez, her children Riley and Adrian Gonzalez, all of Springfield, MA. Her sister Cyndy (LaFleur) Carmody, Michael Carmody (brother-in-law) of Chicopee, MA, and sister-in-law Beverly LaFleur of Wadell, AZ. And nieceCyndy Lombardi and her 6 children, of Chicopee, MA. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Lorraine (Anne) LaFleur, her sister Nancy Lombardi of Chicopee, MA, and brother John LaFleur of Wadell, AZ.
A Celebration of Life Services for Kathleen Elizabeth (LaFleur) Lupien will be held at First Baptist Church, Springfield Campus, 640 Plumtree Rd., Springfield, MA 01118. On Saturday, April 30th, 2022 at 10am
