Obituary

Marco Raphael Basa 24, passed away Sat April 23, 2022. He was born in Manila, Philippines to Rowan and Annabelle (Viola) Basa. They moved to West Springfield where Marco was member of the 2015 graduating class. He worked as a truck driver for Corja Auto Hauling in Agawam. Marco loved the outdoors, everything from skateboarding, snowboarding, riding his motorcycle and cliff jumping. He also enjoyed video games and cars. Besides his parents, Marco leaves his sister Ann Basa of W. Spfld, his brothers Andrei Basa and Rowan Basa also of W. Splfd., his maternal grandparents Arturo and Francisca Viola and many extended family members and friends. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held SAT 12:30 PM in St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., W. Splfd. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held FRIDAY from 4 to 7 PM at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W. Spfld.
