Belchertown- Margaret Ann (Moriarty) Fabbri, more commonly known as Peggy, 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Springfield on April 23, 1935 to the late Thomas and Mary (Woods) Moriarty. She lived in Springfield all of her life and was a graduate of the former Sacred Heart High School. Peggy worked for over 25 years in administration at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow and in her later years she worked at Stop & Shop. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Church, formerly of Springfield and more recently Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. Peggy was a member of the John Boyle Society and was very proud of her Irish Heritage. She enjoyed traveling, was very social, and had a large network of friends. She was an excellent cook and loved preparing meals for the large family gatherings. Peggy was the loving wife of the late Germo Fabbri who passed in 2013, beloved mother of Michael Fabbri and his wife Kathleen of Venice, FL, Thomas Fabbri and his wife Rhonda of Port Jefferson, NY, and William Fabbri and his wife Laurie of Belchertown, caring sister of John “Chick” Moriarty and Thomas Moriarty both of Chicopee, and the late Maureen and William Moriarty, devoted grandmother of Nicholas, Giselle and Brenna Fabbri, Brandon Fabbri, and Cameron and Alexander Fabbri. Peggy also leaves many nieces and nephews. Because of the Covid-19 Crisis, the wake, Funeral Mass, and burial will take place at a later date.
