Mark Andrew Wood, 63, formerly of Amostown Road died Tuesday after a vehicle accident. He was born in Springfield on January 10, 1957 to the late Ralph and Doris (Letendre) Wood. He was raised in Agawam and settled in West Springfield in 1983. He worked as a machinist for over 35 years at Barnes Aerospace in Windsor, CT. Mark was a graduate of Agawam High School and later attended Springfield Technical Community College. He was an avid motorcyclist and loved anything that had an engine. It didn’t matter if it was an ATV, a motorcycle, an old muscle car, a snow mobile, or a boat – he probably owned it, rode it, and fixed it. He was a huge NASCAR, Red Sox, Bruins, and 49’ers fan. Mark also enjoyed golfing and was a true outdoorsman. He loved camping, fishing, and hunting. He was a member of the Pioneer Valley Sportsman Club of West Springfield. Mark was the consummate family man and a loyal friend. He was extremely hard working and well respected by his co-workers. He was the loving husband of 39 years to Tina M. (Putman) Wood, beloved father of Brittany A. Graziano and her husband Eric of Feeding Hills, devoted grandfather “Pop” of Rowan Graziano, and caring brother of Ralph A. Wood and his wife JoAnn of Westfield, Donna Buldrini and her husband John of Southwick, and Mary Lou Rosner of Agawam and many close and loving nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Calling hours will be 4-7 pm Tuesday at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. For the calling hours we are asking all those attending to stay socially distant from others and please exit the building after their visitation with the family.
