Nancy L. (Stack) Strouse, 78, passed away January 12, 2022. Born in Northampton, September 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Loretta (LaValle) Stack. She was a graduate of the former St. Michael’s High School in Northampton and the University of Mass. She later received Master Degrees in education from the University of Mass and Leslie University. Nancy taught school for many years in Easthampton and the St. Thomas School in West Springfield. She was the curator of the Ramapogue Historical Society, was the docent for the Springfield Quadrangle, a member of the Cadillac/LaSalle Club and was active at the West Springfield Day House. She loved to travel, loved classic cars (she published a monthly newsletter for the CT Valley Car Club) and was a member of the Cookie Ministry. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. Nancy spent time between West Springfield and Beaufort SC with her beloved husband of 48 years, Joseph Strouse, where she volunteered at the elementary school and was a communicant of St Pete’s Church where she was also the docent. Besides her husband she leaves her beloved children, Louise Strouse (Saki) of Greensburg, PA, and William S. (Kerri) of Mont Vernon, NH, her beloved sister, Mary Jane Collins (David) of Lenox and her loving grandchildren, Ellis, Abigail and Henry and many friends. The funeral mass will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11:30 AM from the Sacred Heart Church in Springfield with a calling hour from 10:00 - 11:00 AM from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield.
