Priscilla (Talbot) Russo, of West Springfield, beloved wife and soulmate of Patrick F. Russo, who predeceased her in 2011, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020, at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Priscilla was the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Pearl Talbot. Priscilla was the devoted mother and mother-in-law of Robert and Irene Russo of Deltona, Florida, David and Kathleen Russo of Holden, Susan and William “Rusty” Sherman of Springfield, Karen and Jerry Drudi of West Springfield, and Laurie and Michael Lyman of Feeding Hills. Priscilla was the loving grandmother of Robert and Diane Russo, Jr., Gina Descheneaux and Eric Haddox, Nicholas and Jaclyn Lyman, Jay and Janessa Drudi, Jen and Lou Conte Jr., Erica and Kevin Lund, Lyndsay and Nate Abdelmaseh, Patrick Russo and Emmi Deihl, and Michael Russo and Ciara Campbell. Priscilla was also the great-grandmother of Andrew, Zachary and Avery Descheneaux, Danielle Haddox, Anya and Josephine Russo, Gage Abdelmaseh, Luca and Ariana Drudi, Alaina Lund, and Louie Conte III. She was predeceased by her grandson Timothy Sherman in 2011, as well as her siblings Dorothy Gentile, Robert Talbot and Evelyn Lanier. She also leaves three sisters-in-law and many dear nieces and nephews. Priscilla and her husband, Patrick, co-founded and operated Russo Opticians for many years. Priscilla was a cub scout leader and a girl scout leader. She was a board member of the Ramapouge Women’s Club and also volunteered at Shriner’s Hospital. Priscilla loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially at the lake. On any given Sunday, even in the winter, she would ask who was going to the lake today. She and Patrick enjoyed watching their grandchildren’s sports teams. Music was a very important part of Priscilla’s life. She was a talented piano player who most especially loved to play while her family gathered around to sing Christmas carols. Summer vacations were spent camping at Holly Tree in Rhode Island and Maurice’s on the Cape. In retirement, Priscilla and Pat enjoyed spending the winter in Jupiter, Florida, where they enjoyed the beach, swimming, and art lessons. While living at Providence Place, she had her first art showing. All of her children are blessed to have a special painting of hers. The family would like to thank the caring team at the Monastery in West Springfield. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 26th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church in West Springfield, followed by a liturgy of Christian burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, February 25th, from 4:00 to 6:45 p.m. and at 6:45 pm there will be a eulogy at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield.
