Robert A. Arnold

September 21, 1942 ~ December 24, 2020 (age 78)


Robert A. Arnold, 78, passed away Dec 24, 2020. He was born on September 21, 1942 to the late Andrew and Pearl Arnold. Bob graduated from Western New England College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He worked as an accounting/controller for several companies in the area. Later on he owned and operated the Card Collector’s Closet which was a popular sports memorabilia shop in Springfield and Zenith Unlimited which provided training and motivational speaking to groups. He also taught the Dale Carnegie Course for years locally. Bob was a member of The House of Prayer for All Nations Inc and served as their treasurer. He served on the boards of the Friends of the Palmer Senior Center, Mill Pond Estates Condo Assoc., and Pegging Fools Cribbage Club. He loved playing games with family, especially cribbage, and was an avid baseball fan with great a knowledge of the game and a true Boston Red Sox fan. Bob leaves his loving wife Margaret “Peggy” Aldrich Arnold, his children David Arnold and his companion Ann of Agawam, Adam Arnold and his wife Jenny of CA., Iris Arnold of Springfield., his step children Jason Caron and his wife Michelle of Wilbraham, and Jeffrey Caron and his wife Alison of Walpole, his grandchildren; Ana, Brendan, D.J., Colin Arnold and Matthew Caron and Nora Caron. He also leaves his brother’s Gary Arnold and his wife Linda of Feeding Hills and Andrew Arnold and his wife Mary of Hilton, NY along with several nieces and nephews. Bob was also predeceased by his brother Thomas Arnold. All Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Bob’s name to The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA 02445 or to The House of Prayer, P.O. Box 813, Thorndike, MA 01079.
