Stephen M. Riley of Agawam died suddenly at home on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Stephen was born on January 26, 1956 to the late John and Marion (Cummings) Riley. He was a graduate of Agawam High and served in the US Navy. He was an employee at Stop & Shop’s Peapod service where he worked very hard as a truck loader. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Kylie. He loved sports, especially football and baseball. He played in several baseball leagues and won several awards. You could always find him outside in the warm weather doing yard work and enjoying a cold beer…or two. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He leaves his wife of 34 years, Debra Riley of Agawam, his two sons, Sean Riley and his fiancée Kristian Regnaud and Scott Riley and his fiancée Savannah Versace of West Springfield, his brothers, Michael Riley of Agawam and John Riley of Agawam, his sisters Mary Riley of New York, Karen Adams and husband Gary of CT and Colleen Riley of Agawam, his grandchildren, Kylie Ann Riley, Brianna Versace and Cameron Versace, all of West Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Sunday 4-6 PM at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield, MA with a Funeral Home Service on Monday at 12 PM at the funeral home. Due to COVID restrictions, please enter, pay your respects and then exit the facility to allow others to enter. Facial masks and social distancing are required within the funeral home.
